South Wales Miners Museum

South Wales Miners Museum

South Wales Miners Museum was officially opened in 1976 and was one of the first coal mining Museums in Wales.

The Museum is located within the beautiful Afan Valley six miles from the town of Port Talbot and is one of the many attractions to be found within the Afan Forest Park. The Museum is a registered charity and is run and managed by volunteers dedicated to promoting Industrial Heritage in the Afan Valley. All admission charges and donations to the South Wales Miners Museum go towards the running and maintenance of the Museum. Visit the Museum and find yourself being taken on a historical journey back in time.
