Dan-yr-Ogof Campsite where you can throw your cares away for a while, as you sit and relax by the campsite river pathways set in the Swansea valley and stunning Brecon Beacons. Watch our gushing mountain river dodging past massive glacial boulders as it flows swiftly through our site on its journey down our valley to the sea, just 20 miles away.
If your holiday expectations include climbing magnificent mountains, walking behind raging waterfalls, exploring mysterious gorges, or even visiting a castle clinging to the top of a cliff, then you could not find a better holiday base for your caravan, motor home, or tent. There are many excellent restaurants close to the site for your evening meals. Dan yr Ogof Campsite is also situated in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. Our site, together with the toilet block facilities, have been completely redesigned and renovated over the past 2 years. You can also visit Dan-yr-Ogof showcaves offering ten attractions all included in the one entry ticket, and there is plenty to see and do for all ages. There are 3 different showcaves including Dan-yr-Ogof, Cathedral Cave and Bone Cave each offering a unique underground experience. In Dan-yr-Ogof showcaves you walk through the beautifully decorated passageways for just under 1 kilometre; in Cathedral Cave you walk through its enormous caverns, carved out millions of years ago, and at the end of this cave experience the excitement of walking behind the 40 feet high waterfalls that cascade around you in the ‘Dome of St Paul’s’, an atmospheric end to a truly wonderful cave; and in Bone Cave learn why 42 human skeletons were buried here, and how our ancestors used caves all those years ago.
