Brecknock Museum
Brecknock Museum is housed in the grade II* listed former Brecknockshire Shire Hall and Assize Court in the small market town of Brecon, Powys.
It was built in 1842 by the architects Wyatt and Brandon and is one of the finest examples of early Victorian “Greek revival” architecture in Wales. It has housed Brecknock Museum since 1974 and has galleries displaying Archaeology, Art, Rural Life, Town Life and the re-interpreted Victorian Assize Court scene.
